TOWNSHIP OF ROCHELLE PARK, 151 WEST PASSAIC ST, ROCHELLE PARK, NJ 07662

Gail Artola

Gail Artola is a lifelong resident of Rochelle Park. She attended both Sacred Heart and Midland Schools.  While at Hackensack High School she was on the swim team.  She earned a BA in psychology from William Paterson University and represented the college swim team for four years.  In her senior year, she led the swim team to a first place finish in the Metropolitan Conference.  After completing school, Gail returned home to Rochelle Park.

As a homeowner in Rochelle Park, Gail experienced flooding from Hurricane Irene and like many in town, Gail’s house was destroyed.  She made the decision to get her house lifted, but saw the challenges in dealing with the bureaucracy of State and Federal government agencies.  Soon after, she was appointed to the Rochelle Park Planning Board and has shared her experiences with others.

Gail works in the pharmaceutical industry.  She has been recognized as a specialist in the Clinical Supply field.

Gail likes to volunteer and is an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church here in Rochelle Park. Over the years she has taught religious education classes to both children and adults, led the youth group for teenagers, served as a lector, small group leader, and is a Eucharistic minister.

Gail now serves the community through her role on the Rochelle Park Township Committee. During her two terms, she has been selected to represent the committee as the Deputy Mayor and Mayor.

She is committed to maintaining the small town character that Rochelle Park has in Bergen County.
