Thomas Miller

Thomas Miller is a husband, father of two, teacher, and Rochelle Park taxpayer. After experiencing flooding during Hurricane Ida, he became interested in all the pressing issues affecting the community before ultimately running for Rochelle Park Township Committee.

Miller was elected to the Township Committee in 2023 for a one-year term and re-elected in 2024. Miller is the first millennial to serve on the Rochelle Park Township Committee. As Deputy Mayor, he serves as Fire Commissioner and Committee liaison to Access for All, the Library, and the Shade Tree Committee.

Miller is a special education teacher and instructional coach at a public high school in the Bronx. Miller holds two master’s degrees and a school administration license.

Outside of his civic duties, Miller coaches pre-K/Kindergarten recreation basketball, participates in community cleanups in town, and volunteers at Heart to Heart, a children’s special needs service center in Rochelle Park where he hosts karaoke for the children. In his free time, he is a boxing enthusiast who enjoys exploring new restaurants with his wife, singing karaoke, attending town-wide events with his family, and taking his mother out to lunch.

Miller and his wife Jessica love being part of the Rochelle Park community, where they’re raising their children Mila (4) and Max (1) among their great neighbors and friends.

Miller is dedicated to building a transparent local government that puts Rochelle Park residents first and gives them a voice in their community’s future.
