All Court personnel are fully trained professionals and will be happy to answer all procedural questions that you may have, but can not give legal advise.

All residents should know there is NO PARKING allowed on the streets from 3:00AM to 6:00AM.

The Violation Bureau Hours of Operation

Monday-Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm

Court is held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month
and begins at 1:00pm

Money is taken until 3:30pm

Please Note: Certain traffic offenses are not payable and the defendant must appear in court.  Please do not hesitate to call the violation bureau if you have any questions or are unsure how to proceed or to enter your plea.

 

The Rochelle Park Municipal Judge is the Honorable Roy F. McGeady,
He is also the presiding Judge for Bergen County.
 
The Municipal Prosecutor is Brian Giblin of the law firm of Giblin & Giblin.

The Public Defender is Joseph DiMaria of the law firm of DiMaria & DiMaria.

The Rochelle Park Municipal Court has jurisdiction over the following cases:  

          Motor Vehicle/Traffic Offenses

          Disorderly/Petty Disorderly Person Offenses

          Violations of Weights and Measures

          Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

          Violations of Township Ordinances

If you are charged with a more serious offense, these “indictables” would
be sent to the Bergen County Prosecutor.  The case would either be brought before a Grand Jury in Superior Court or downgraded to the Rochelle Park Municipal Court by the Bergen County Prosecutors Office.
