The library is run by the Director and a paid staff supplemented by a group of dedicated volunteers. The library can always use
more volunteers. If you wish to volunteer your time
please call or visit the library to see
what times are available.

The library is a member of The Bergen County Cooperative Library System
and will perform all the services of the libraries in the system.

The Library has books, videos, DVDs, CD's, books on tape, books on CD and magazines for you to borrow. The videos, DVDs, CD's and magazines can be borrowed for one week and cannot be renewed. The books on tape, books on CD, and new books can be borrowed for two weeks, and usually can be renewed. All other items can be borrowed for 4 weeks and usually can be renewed. If there is an item that you would like and it is not available in our library, it can be ordered from one of the other libraries in the BCCLS system. Their website can be checked at www.bccls.org. Your Rochelle Park Library Card can be used at any of the 73 libraries in the BCCLS system www.bccls.org

If you are a resident of Rochelle Park and can show proof or residency, you may sign up for a library card.
Children at least 4 years of age, accompanied by a parent, are also eligible.

All Children attending Midland School must have a library card from the Rochelle Park library to be able to use the school library

Library Programs and Activities

Movies - The Rochelle Park Library shows movies on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 1:00pm in the Community Meeting Room. Usually these movies have just been released on DVD. There is no charge for this program. Refreshments are served with the movies.

Preschool Story Hour -The story hour is held every Friday at 10:00am and 1:00pm from September through December and February through May.Children between the ages of 3 and 5 and living in Rochelle Park are eligible to attend.

Reading Contest - The library has a Reading Contest during the months of July and August, for in Kindergarten through Eight grade. All details are announced during the month of June. Prizes are awarded for the best readers in September.

Summer Crafts - During July and August the library offers a Mommy and Me Craft day on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 11:30am. Attendance is limited and registration is required. More information is provided in June of each year. Children who are three, four, or five years old are welcome.
