Rochelle Park Police Department, Bergen County, NJ will be
accepting resumes for the position of (3) Police Officers.
All applicants must have a Full PTC training certification
from a NJ Police Academy by July 15 2018. (No Waivers)
Resumes must be delivered in person (no exception) to the
Police Chief or Police Captain at the Rochelle Park Police

is a list of minimum qualifications that the Rochelle Park
Police applicants must possess:
Candidates must be a citizen of the United States and a
resident of N.J.
Candidates must possess a valid NJ driverís license with
good driving history.
Candidates must no be less than 18 years of age or more then
35 years of age, at the time of appointment.
Candidates must successfully pass an interview process,
rigorous background investigation and psychological
examination and drug screening.
Candidates must be physically fit to perform all the duties
associated with the duties of a police officer and must be
eligible for inclusion in the police and firemanís
Candidates must be of good moral character and have a record
free of any convictions of any crime or indictable offense
or any crime or offense involving moral turpitude.
Candidates must have a bachelorís degree signifying
completion of the undergraduate curriculum and graduation
from an accredited college or university: or alternatively,
an associateís degree or have 60 college semester hours of
college credits from an accredited college or university,
plus 2 years of military experience and honorably discharged
from same or a minimum of two years full time police
experience (i.e., Police dispatcher, Auxiliary police
officer, special police officer): or 5 years police
successful candidates will start as probationary Police
Officers at step #1 of the police pay scale of $40,000 from
the PBA 2015-2018 contract
