Baby
Clinic (Well Baby Clinic) – to schedule an appointment for
your child please contact Valerie Marut, R.N. at the Lodi board of
Health #201-365-4005 ext. 208, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday 9:30 AM
to 3:00 PM.
Marriage & Death Certificates – Contact the Vital
Statistics Dept. #201-556-0522 ext. 101. Due to hurricane Floyd any
request for marriage or death certificates prior to 2000, must be
obtained through the State Registrars office. Click on form
Application for Certified Copy of Vital
Record.
Construction Permits – To obtain permits for additions,
decks, etc. contact eh Building Department at #201-587-7730 ext. 100,
102.
Committee Meetings – The Township Committee meets for Work
Sessions on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM and Public
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM.

Senior Center – Is located in the Municipal Complex located
at 151 W. Passaic Street. The president of the Senior Citizen Club is
Frank Madden
Sidewalk Repair & Tree Trimming Law – Homeowners are
responsible for the maintenance and repair of sidewalks abutting their
property. Low or hazardous tree branches are required to be
trimmed. Homeowners could be liable for injuries sustained due
to hazardous sidewalk conditions. If your feel a Township tree
(curb out to the street) is a hazard, please notify the
Administration Office at 201-587-7730 - Ext 200-202.
Dogs
and Cats – Licenses – All dogs and cats over the age of six
months must be licensed with the Township. New registrations are
taken throughout the year.
Dog and cat licenses are
renewable thru January 31st, after February 1st,
a late penalty of $5.00 will be charged.
NO LICENSES WILL BE ISSUED
WITH A RABIES VACCINE THAT EXPIRES AFTER OCTOBER 31ST OF
THE LICENSE YEAR.
Rabies Clinic – A current rabies vaccination is needed to
register each animal. Rochelle Park offers a rabies clinic in January
of every year free to residents. For date of clinic please contact
the Clerk’s office at #201-587-7730 ext. 200, 202.
Leash Law – Dogs must be leashed with off the owner’s
premises.
Dogs
barking – No dog may habitually bark of cry between the
hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Also no dog may be left unattended
which habitually barks or cries.
Curbing of dogs – Owners must immediately remove any feces
deposited by their dog on the curb line or on other public property.
Feces should be placed in a closed bag and discarded with the owner’s
garbage. No person shall allow their dog to defecate upon any public
or private property except with the permission of the property owner.
No resident shall discard feces in the Township’s storm drain.
Library – Rochelle Park library is located in the Municipal
Complex located at 151 W. Passaic Street. The hours are Monday –
Friday 9:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Saturday – 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sunday
the library is closed.
Smoke Detectors – A compliance certificate must be obtained
by all owners prior to sale or rental indicating that the residence
has a smoke detector alarm device on each level of the structure.

Snow
Removal Law – Township ordinances require that snow and ice
be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours after the snow stops. See
code book for ordinance.
